At what age is a child considered an adult?

Most parks will charge adult rates for persons 15 years and over.

Can we park our campervan anywhere in New Zealand?
|
Freedom camping is allowed in some areas of New Zealand but is prohibited or regulated in others. The regulations concerning freedom camping are administered by the various local government agencies throughout New Zealand and vary considerably between areas. Visitors are encouraged to check with the visitor information centre in each area before freedom camping. Visitor information centres will also be able to provide information on Holiday Parks and other accommodation options.

Can We Take our Pet?
|
Many parks will allow you to bring your pet depending on the size and type of pet and the dates you are planning to stay. Check on our website and make sure that you ask the park at the time of booking. Some parks will only accept pets at off peak periods.

Do all rooms have toilet facilities?
|
No. Ensuite units, self-contained units and park motels will have full toilet and shower facilities. Guests in other styles of accommodation and sites will use the park ablution facilities. Check at the time of booking.

Do Holiday Parks have a minimum stay?
|
Some Holiday Parks will enforce a minimum stay over holiday periods or special events.

Do I have to join Holiday Parks Association to stay at one of the parks?
|
No. The parks are our members and they will welcome all visitors.

Do I have to take my own linen?
|
Many people do choose to take their own linen. Parks will hire linen to guests and many of the more expensive motel units will come with linen supplied. Always check when booking.

Do I need to book in advance?
|
It depends on the time of year, the type of accommodation that you require and the location of the park. Many parks are heavily booked from Christmas though to until mid January and it would pay to book in advance over these dates. Most Holiday Parks Association parks will book your next night's accommodation when you depart their park.

When do I pay?
|
Parks will ask for a deposit or credit card number at the time of booking. You will be asked for full payment on arrival at the Holiday Park. Holiday Parks will advise you of their cancellation policy at the time of booking.
